Royal Kings Arms Hospitality
The Royal Kings Arms hotel in Lancaster, a historic gem, has been a prominent landmark since the 17th century. Notable guests like Charles Dickens, who visited in 1857, immortalized it in literature. Ahead of a major refurbishment, Cavalier Carpets was asked to deliver design concepts for the guest bedrooms.
The management aimed for a blend of traditional charm and modern luxury.
Cavalier's design team collaborated closely with the Royal Kings Arms hotel and Home Delivery Carpets (HDC) to grasp the desired vision. Originally, the brief called for four designs for four interior schemes. However, our team proposed a single carpet that could complement all four schemes.
The resulting contemporary textured stripe, colored using our Colourtin palette, featured hints of forest green, gold, royal blue, and purple. This subtle incorporation of key colors enabled the bespoke carpet to harmonize with the soft furnishings of each room scheme.
Cavalier Carpets produced over 1000m² of 6 row 80/20 bespoke woven Axminster carpet for the Royal Kings Arms hotel. Installed by the HDC team in 55 bedrooms, the new design perfectly matched the hotel's historic elegance, creating the luxurious ambiance requested.
