| | | | Chicago Chooses Cavalier Carpets Colortec The innovative Colorotec system enabled Cavalier Carpets to meet the carpet specification for the latest Chicago Rock entertainment venue in Walsall Staffordshire. Using four dyed yarns to create a practical abstract effect over 300 square metres of 42 oz 80% wool 20% nylon tiles were installed in the busy restaurant and bar areas.
In addition to the inherent resilience, ease of maintenance and safety attributes of the woolrich construction, additional features were ensured by incorporating Ulay (Heavy Contract IMO rating) and Thomsit adhesive TK199 Tackifier which results in an increased luxurious feel underfoot and adds to comfort, reduces noise levels, and extends the product life.
The latest of 15 Chicago Rock contracts completed by Cavalier, the company engineered a non-standard one metre square tile specifically for this location.
The installation was carried out using the Cavalier Syncro-fit double stick system with Ball & Young's Cloud Nine 4mm flame-retardant underlay and the complete installation undertaken by Novern Flooring - Leeds.
